Description

Lady Sophie’s Society Splash

When Sophie, the least interesting of the Talbot sisters, lands her philandering brother-in-law backside-first in a goldfish pond in front of all society, she becomes the target of very public aristocratic scorn. Her only choice is to flee London, vowing to start a new life far from the aristocracy. Unfortunately, the carriage in which she stows away isn’t saving her from ruin . . . it’s filled with it.

Rogue’s Reign of Ravishment!

Kingscote, “King,” the Marquess of Eversley, has never met a woman he couldn’t charm, resulting in a reputation far worse than the truth, a general sense that he’s more pretty face than proper gentleman, and an irate summons home to the Scottish border. When King discovers stowaway Sophie, however, the journey becomes anything but boring.

War? Or More?

He thinks she’s trying to trick him into marriage. She wouldn’t have him if he were the last man on earth. But carriages bring close quarters, dark secrets, and unbearable temptation, making opposites altogether too attractive . . .

This 👏🏼 book 👏🏼 is 👏🏼 amazing 👏🏼. I was instantly drawn in - loved the witty banter and that Sophie wasn’t some simpering girl. Loved that they kept fighting their feelings but kept acting on them. I loved this book and I’m going to be reading it again and again. Sarah knocked it out of the park with this one!

Read it in one sitting, great story. Don’t agree with the review that this series is a copy paste, almost deterred me. Normally don’t submit written reviews but really enjoyed this story. Off to read a Scot in the dark.

This book is delightful and a joy to read, despite Sophie’s status as the “unfun” sister! King and Sophie are seriously two of my favorite romance characters. One thing I love about this book is all of their banter, I feel so many books state that there’s banter and a deep connection but in this one I feel like I’m actually witnessing that. I reread this book regularly and still manage to laugh out loud. My only issue with this book is that it makes it very difficult for me to root for Sera and Haven, who have a later book. Seriously that man is trying to catch these hands.

Such an interesting beginning to a relationship! Sophia Talbot defends her sister to her husband in an unusual way and all hell breaks loose. She meets Lord Eversley and the adventure begins. For two people who in the start of their joint adventure seem not to like each other the ending turns out excellent! There is humor, some twists and plenty of starts and and ending for romance! I recommend this book!

Worth the read Good not great, but it could have been just a little off the mark. I liked the characters however the plot was just okay. I'm hoping the next book in this series steps up the game a little.

Read this book in one day. Could not but it down. King and Sophie's story was everything you expect from Sarah MacLean. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. I think the A Scot in the Dark will don't disappoint. Can't wait for Aug.
