Sarah Maclean writes like no other author. Rearing her books sometimes I hold my breathe because the writing is so beautiful. I would recommend anyone to read her books and I am looking forward to the next ones.

Felicity Faircloth and Devil Culm were such great characters. Complete opposites in every way but intelligence. A deal made in darkness will change everything they want. It may lead them to the light keep then in the dark or extinguish them.
I forgot what a great writer Sarah MacLean is and I will be reading the rest of this series.
Loved it

A Plan for Revenge Goes Wrong (in the best ways)

This late Regency romance straddles the line between the rookery and the ballroom. It shows us a wider view of London and of the ways family shapes us all.
The central love story is beautiful and compelling. The writing is beautiful. You will want to read more from Sarah MacLean.

Felicity and Devil live in separate universes, yet are wildly attracted to each other. Felicity yearns to join him in his underworld life and he believes she will miss the society circle. Her talent to be able to unlock anything ultimately saves his life and earns the loyalty of his followers. Loved this plot.

I really wanted to love this book but it fell flat. I read a lot of romance and I’m a fan of this author but in the end I didn’t find the central relationship believable (and this IS romance where suspension of disbelief is de rigueur...). I found the heroine shallow and just a little too quirky and irreverent (with some cringe worthy “deep thoughts” that seemed to fascinate the hero). Despite that it was hard to imagine her dazzling a self-made king of the London underworld or eliciting any sympathy from him for her plights as an aging wallflower who wants her status as a “mean girl” of the ton back. The hero was also set up to be the the biggest feminist to ever walk the streets of 19th century London. While some anachronistic posturing is welcome and hoped for (the last thong I want is a hero who actually represents the prejudices of his time) his attitudes could have made a little more sense. We’re led to believe it’s because he loves his sister...? Hopefully, the next books in this series will be better as the other characters in this world develop and find their own HEAs. I will keep reading based on the strength of the author’s past work.

An interesting story of two people who meet under chance and from there things go a bit challenging and crazy! Read the story of Felicity and Devil and so much more. Learn the story about the Devil and his past and about the families of both. There is revenge there in the mystery but with Felicity there is humor, interesting skills and love. I do recommend this book!
Absolutely Riveting and Enjoyable

This has to be one of the best books I’ve ever read. The writing was superb, the storyline very original and the characters were all amazing. I can’t believe the next book doesn’t come out until next year; I’m sure it will be worth the wait.
The best yet

I have always loved this author, but this story is her best yet. A strong heroine realizes her self worth while chasing her HEA. The hero is a man who knows she is perfect from the start. This book grabs you from the beginning and never lets you go. Buy one and block off a day as you won’t want to put it down.
