Description

Logan from Echoes of Scotland Street is back with his own smoldering story, as the New York Times bestselling On Dublin Street series returns…

Logan spent two years paying for the mistakes he made. Now, he’s ready to start over. He has a great apartment, a good job, and plenty of women to distract him from his past. And one woman who is driving him to distraction…

Grace escaped her manipulative family by moving to a new city. Her new life, made to suit her own needs, is almost perfect. All she needs to do is find her Mr. Right—or at least figure out a way to ignore her irresistible yet annoying womanizer of a neighbor.

Grace is determined to have nothing to do with Logan until a life-changing surprise slowly begins turning the wild heartbreaker into exactly the kind of strong, stable man she’s been searching for. Only just when she begins to give into his charms, her own messy past threatens to derail everything they’ve worked to build…

From the Trade Paperback edition.

I just finished reading this book and Im going to miss the CLAN so much!! Best series ever. I've spent the last week or so reading about all of them and I'm truly sad that I have to say goodbye. I really hope that Samantha Young picks up on this series again. Hoping to read about their children as adults. That would be fantastic. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Ever live in an apartment and have the neighbor from hell? Keeps odd hours? Doesn't know the meaning of curfew on loud? Grace has these type of murderous feelings for her hot, playboy neighbor, Logan. One of their porch encounters throws both Logan and Grace together to be united in helping a young teenager who may or may not be Logan's daughter. Samantha Young keeps the story moving through this life changing event for reader with humor, delight, sadness and happiness. Grace's commitment to help Logan has an unlikely friendship develop that leads to something more. "There are moments in life that change us irreparably. Sometimes those moments are grand and dramatic, tragic or beautiful in their intensity. Sometimes those moments are quiet and small, like footsteps fading behind a closed door. The subtlety of those moments can sometimes camouflage their impact. " That quote summaries perfectly the readers journey that is witnessed for the hero, heroine and young teenager, Maia. I felt the characters and their reactions were believable and honest; never over the top angst. My only disappointment was to not hear more of Maia's journey. Both the hero and heroine had overcome impacts early in their lives. This upheaval for Maia had to created some additional issues, but not enough pages in the book. This is the point of the review where I recommend if it can be stand alone. Definitely, until you get to the epilogue. Logan and Grace's story is a wonderful HEA. If you've read the series, there are introductions to previous characters. These introductions are not confusing to someone new to the series until that epilogue. Ms. Young finishes up the Dublin Street gangs stories within; it would be confusing if you haven't read. But as an epilogue isn't necessary for the stories complete closure - you'll know when to stop.

Samantha Young let me count the ways I love thee. You write amazing stories that entertain, inspire, and educate as well. You're super sweet and generous to your readers and fans. Most of all you write characters I can not only relate to but connect with. I never fail to laugh and sometimes cry when I read your books. I truly go on a journey as I fall in love with the characters and see them grow as people. That being said, I would love to read your On Dublin Street Series in perpetuity, but Moonlight on Nightingale Way is a fabulous way to close the last full length book in this series. I absolutely loved Grace and Logan. Grace may seem staid and mild mannered, but she has an extremely strong inner core that she wasn't afraid to call on, something I really admired. She was able to look past what a lot people weren't able to and see Logan for he was, and not his actions. I loved how she opened up her heart and home when Logan needed help. She stepped up to do whatever she could to help ease him into his new situation. Logan straight up made me swoon. He's a hard man from his past and he's making up for it. He comes across as rude and abrasive, especially since his activities are keeping Grace up at night and disturbing her hard found peace. Even though he came across as difficult, Logan showed a personality that was truer to him being a "good" guy, and that made me fall for him harder and quicker. Logan was there for his family and friends and that made heart skip a beat. Honestly there isn't much I can say that'll do justice to this book. I was hooked from the first page to the last. There were times my heart hurt while reading this book, from things both Grace and Logan's pasts. The two might have seemed like an unlikely couple, but they really worked well together. I loved seeing them get past their outer appearances and recognize how much the other truly completed them. I also loved seeing Logan interact with his sister, her fiance, and their new extended family. If there's one message this book and this series has really conveyed throughout, it's that the family we're born into isn't always the one we need. Family is those people who love and care of us. Sometimes the people we choose to be our family can love and care more of us than those with the same biological genes. Logan and Grace's story was beautiful. They faced a number of challenges and came out stronger at the end. It was everything I was hoping it would be. This is now one of my most favorite couples from one of my all time favorite series. I can't wait to see how Samantha Young surprises me with the stories she'll write. I know I'm eager to read them!

It is hard to say goodbye to this wonderful series, but this book was a nice one to finish it up. I fell in love with both Logan and Grace almost immediately. I liked Logan in his sister, Shannon's story, and I have been looking forward to his book. He was everything I would have wanted in the hero of the story, and Grace has to be one of the most genuine, nicest, sweetest characters imaginable. I loved how quickly she bonded with Maia, and how much she cared for her. The storyline of Logan finding out about and making a home for his daughter was a good one and it kept me interested from beginning to end. When Grace meets her neighbor Logan, it is apparent very quickly that he is a player. She is annoyed by the steady stream of women making their way to his door. When Logan finds out that he has a teenaged daughter in an appalling living situation, Grace, who is inadvertently present at the meeting, offers her a place to stay until they are certain that Logan is her father. The three bond quickly, but Logan isn't willing to risk a relationship with Grace, which causes strain between them. This was a wonderful book with great characters, an interesting storyline, and a great setting. I loved seeing all of the characters from the other books of the series, and especially liked the way the author left us at the end with an update on each couple.
