Description

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • “Macomber hits the sweet spot with this tender tale of impractical love. . . . A delicious Christmas miracle well worth waiting for.”—Publishers Weekly (starred review)

Carrie Slayton, a big-city society-page columnist, longs to write more serious news stories. So her editor hands her a challenge: She can cover any topic she wants, but only if she first scores the paper an interview with Finn Dalton, the notoriously reclusive author.

Living in the remote Alaskan wilderness, Finn has written a megabestselling memoir about surviving in the wild. But he stubbornly declines to speak to anyone in the press, and no one even knows exactly where he lives.

Digging deep into Finn’s past, Carrie develops a theory on his whereabouts. It is the holidays, but her career is at stake, so she forsakes her family celebrations and flies out to snowy Alaska. When she finally finds Finn, she discovers a man both more charismatic and more stubborn than she even expected. And soon she is torn between pursuing the story of a lifetime and following her heart.

Filled with all the comforts and joys of Christmastime, Starry Night is a delightful novel of finding happiness in the most surprising places.

Don’t miss Debbie Macomber’s short story “Lost and Found in Cedar Cove” in the back of the book.

  • Sweet Christmas Romance

This was super cute. I loved this sweet Christmas romance. Carrie is a great character. Her love interest, Finn, is awesome too. The enemies to lovers is a favorite trope of mine. I would recommend this.

I absolutely loved this holiday story. I did find Finn character a little out of character towards the middle of the book, but in the end I think it all came back together and was believable. I enjoyed this quick holiday read! Keep them coming, Debbie!

Debbie doesn't know how to write a bad book. Every book I read has me from page one to the last. Now, she has to follow up Starry Night with a sequel so we know what happens after Carrie and Finn marry. What happens to Sawyer, and we can't forget about Hennisey! Thank You Debbie for another wonderful story! Merry Christmas!
  • Too short

Loved the story line but way too short for the price. Wish there was more in the cabin section. Good quick read but could have been better as the characters had a lot of potential.

I found Starry Night enjoyable but towards the middle of the book, it became predictable, and then boring. I had trouble holding my attention to the book, at this point. I enjoy Macomber's books but was disappointed in this one.
