Description

The old Apache renegade Soldado Viejo is hiding out in Mexico, and the Arizona Department Adjutant has selected two men to hunt him down. One -- Dave Flynn -- knows war, the land, and the nature of his prey. The other is a kid lieutenant named Bowers. But there's a different kind of war happening in Soyopa. And if Flynn and his young associate choose the wrong allies -- and the wrong enemy -- they won't be getting out alive.

Leonard always folds great characters and dialogue into whatever story he writes—and you’ll find 'em in Bounty Hunters as well…

After one of my very favorite authors died last year, I decided to go way back to his very first published book. It's nearly as old as I am but no JV effort from the first time author. It is a lot like 3:10 to Yuma and well plotted like his later novels. The characters aren't quite as complete as in the later books and the humor is more subdued, but Bounty Hunters is still lots of fun. Thanks Elmore!
