The Hunted takes off at a run and never slows down. The story is simple: An American hiding in Israel from some gangsters gets exposed and the gangsters come to get him. Unfortunately for the gangsters, a U.S. Marine gets involved and proves to be an immovable object between the bad guys and the American on the run. The bullets fly often and with precision. The only problem with this book is the pagination. There are many story breaks that weren't transferred from the print edition to the e-book, which may cause quite a few moments of confusion for first-time readers of this story. Which is too bad because it's an excellent story, one of Elmore Leonard's best.
