Refreshing. Kept me up. I could identify with some of my friends.
  • Charming and funny. Can’t wait to read the next one.

I love a good mystery book, especially when the detectives are as interesting as the cast of suspects. If you are looking for your next Poirot or Holmes & Watson, the Thursday Night Club members are an equally interesting and unique group of sleuths.
  • Life enriching. I’m so glad I found this book!

Part murder mystery, part feel good adventure amongst friends, this book really has everything going for it. The ensemble of this book is just excellent! The characters are all so memorable from the cunning Elizabeth, the headstrong Ron, the brilliant Ibrahim, and the heartwarming Joyce. I loved this group and was really engaged throughout wondering how deep this mystery would go. I am pleased to say that I did not guess the murderer and while it was a complete shock it also made total sense once it was laid out. Sometimes an author can focus too much on making a mystery hard to solve that it can make the whole thing feel implausible by the end. However here, the mystery is so layered with reveal after reveal that guessing the killer becomes more complex than you might believe and I LOVED IT! The dynamic between the group as well as all of the side characters creates for some very cozy and insanely fun dialogue that I just could not get enough of. Cannot recommend this one enough and I cannot wait to read the rest of this series

The writing style and grammar is very poor. Osman takes forever to get to the point with no substantial development. The book incredibly long-winded and incoherent at certain points. I lost interest after 40-50 pages because it went nowhere fast.

Second book that I had checked out and will read it for the first time because I love mystery books and the first book I read was bells spells and murder.
  • Fun and silly with good twists

This had great characters and realistic ridiculousness. I liked several plot twists which I normally see coming but not here. Pleasurable escape.
