Description

THE INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER!

Named a “Must-Read” by TODAY, Us Weekly, Bustle, BuzzFeed, Goodreads, Entertainment Weekly, Publishers Weekly, Southern Living, Book Riot, Woman’s Day, The Toronto Star, and more!

For two sworn enemies, anything can happen during the Hawaiian trip of a lifetime—maybe even love—in this romantic comedy from the New York Times bestselling authors of Love and Other Words.

Olive Torres is used to being the unlucky twin: from inexplicable mishaps to a recent layoff, her life seems to be almost comically jinxed. By contrast, her sister Ami is an eternal champion...she even managed to finance her entire wedding by winning a slew of contests. Unfortunately for Olive, the only thing worse than constant bad luck is having to spend the wedding day with the best man (and her nemesis), Ethan Thomas.

Olive braces herself for wedding hell, determined to put on a brave face, but when the entire wedding party gets food poisoning, the only people who aren’t affected are Olive and Ethan. Suddenly there’s a free honeymoon up for grabs, and Olive will be damned if Ethan gets to enjoy paradise solo.

Agreeing to a temporary truce, the pair head for Maui. After all, ten days of bliss is worth having to assume the role of loving newlyweds, right? But the weird thing is...Olive doesn’t mind playing pretend. In fact, the more she pretends to be the luckiest woman alive, the more it feels like she might be.

With Christina Lauren’s “uniquely hilarious and touching voice” (Entertainment Weekly), The Unhoneymooners is a romance for anyone who has ever felt unlucky in love.

  • The Unhoneymooners Review!❤️

The Unhoneymooners was a great book! There's a lot of tropes in this book it you like Enemies to Lovers, Fake Relationships, Forbidden Romance, One Bed, and Secret Relationships you should definitely read this. This is my second time reading Christina Lauren books, I love one of their books Love and Other Words, and I decided to read another book of theirs. I loved all the characters in the book except for that guy Dean he was not a good guy for Ami, she definitely deserved better. I was so happy when Olive told Ami what happened, I can't believe neither her boyfriend Ethan or her twin sister Ami didn't believe her, I'm just glad they realized at the end she was telling the truth the entire time. Olive and Ethan hating each other, and then falling in love with each other. Their relationship was intimate, adorable, and sparks were flying. This book was also about how the main character Olive Torres was not perfect, and that nobody is really perfect in real life. This book represents what happens in real life that others experience all the time, Heartbreak, Cheating, Family Issues, Healing From Love, Growing & Improving yourself, that's exactly what Olive and the characters was doing in the entire book. -Kierra Brice🩷

I loved this book am a slow reader so for me to read this book in 2 weeks that how I know it’s a good book. I didn’t give it five stars because I felt like in some chapters it was kind of boring. But over all I thought it was a great book.
  • Interesting read but needed more

Great book! My only negative comments are that once the two main characters finally have sex, there is a lot more that needed to be said there without pushing the envelope too far. There’s this slow anticipatory build up to sex between them so once it reaches that point I expected to have it pretty well described and at first it is. However, the text falls flat and then abruptly moves on to the next chapter leaving a lot to be desired. It left me feeling like there was a lot missing in that part of the book. Also, the ending fell flat. It seemed like there was should have been more after the proposal. Overall though, it was an interesting read!
  • A quick, fun read

While it’s not the most enlightening, soul expanding book, it was an absolute delight to read. The constant “will they won’t they” dynamic was played out beautifully without falling into too many cliches. If you’re looking for a light romance read, I absolutely recommend The Unhoneymooners!
