Aquascaping is a fascinating hobby that has evolved over centuries. The idea of making an environment that supports life and is aesthetically appealing is an exciting quest for many people. Technology has evolved to support more species, in cleaner and longer lasting environments.

This book will give you the facts to start your own aquarium and learn aquascaping freshwater and salt water tanks, from styles and design to set up with planting, lighting, substrate, coral, and ornaments, including live rock. You will also gain the knowledge of the nitrogen cycle and water testing for aquarium maintenance.

  • Lots of general aquarium info, almost no aquascape

A 100 page book with 75% of that just generic, high level info about aquarium care, a mix of fresh and saltwater term definition. not specific enough to be very useful. Another 15% is a high level list of corals. Maybe 10% is actually about aquascape, just defines the major categories and the golden rule of design, and has 3 or 4 pictures. At $4 it's still a ripoff. If it was free it's not worth the time.
