The British Royal Family believed that the dizzy success of the Sussex wedding, watched and celebrated around the world, was the beginning of a new era for the Windsors. Yet, within one tumultuous year, the dream became a nightmare. In the aftermath of the infamous Megxit split and the Oprah Winfrey interview, the Royal Family's fate seems persistently threatened.

As Meghan and Harry's much-trailed Netflix documentary finally airs, the public remains puzzled. Meghan's success has alternatively won praise, bewildered and outraged. Confused by the Sussexes' slick publicity, few understand the real Meghan Markle. What lies ahead for Meghan? And what has happened to the family she married into? Can the Windsors restore their reputation?

With extensive research, expert sourcing and interviews from insiders who have never spoken before, Tom Bower, Britain's leading investigative biographer, unpicks the tangled web of courtroom drama, courtier politics and thwarted childhood dreams to uncover an astonishing story of love, betrayal, secrets and revenge.

Really insightful book that is more fair than I anticipated, but also brings real truth and accountability to the Sussexes. Singular perception and perspective never exclusively proves truth and it is refreshing to see that by bringing in many perspectives combined with facts, a different reality appears that allows one to think for themselves rather than to blindly accept a curated, contrived and biased perspective that is otherwise presented to the public. The only negative feedback I have on this book is that it does need some significant grammatical editing due to a clearly rushed writing job. Also, it is Woodland Hills not Woodward Hills, which as someone who works in Woodland Hills this was irksome and took away some of the other obvious efforts to stick to facts and deep research. Additionally, much can be said about people being afraid to comment as part of the author’s research. By itself that indicates a toxic atmosphere of fear created by the Sussexes to silence, bully, threaten and control the narrative. The Sussexes themselves seem to prove the worth of this book, which is why I decided to read it. Glad that I made the purchase.

Well researched, beautifully written and 100% believable. Don’t know which one is worse - Harry or Meghan. The Royal family needs to figure out a better life path for the “spares”. Harry is truly damaged and was easy prey for a malignant narcissist
  • WELL WRITTEN. TRUTHFUL & OBJECTIVE.

Great book… obviously I can see pro’s and con’s for either side, as well as consider motives for writing the book, credible sources etc. but (background for those who don’t know) Tom Bower IS a successful investigative journalist, barrister in England, and has written several other books in a similar capacity during his career, has been sued, and NEVER won. That alone makes this book worthy to read at minimum, even those who love her. There are always two sides to a story. You absolutely cannot deny the coincidence between the current barrage of ‘leaks’ on the BRF since the release of this book, let alone many other ‘rumors’, as well as the power bestowed upon this particular couple against the media after winning the appeal against the Sun. Can someone comment if they can see my review? My MacBook/app aren’t showing it…?????
