Barry Redcrow returns from Vietnam thinking hell is over, only to discover true hell has just begun. Through the spirits of his ancestors, Barry discovers the secrets of his Passamaquoddy Indian roots. Good vs. evil; an ancient fight his people have endured for generations. Barry accepts a position at a rundown insane asylum in the Massachusetts Middlesex Fells Reservation. Here he is met with assistance from unusual sources: a gifted psychiatric patient, Police Sgt. Brian Foley, his own deceased grandfather, and nature itself. Darkness looms in Tommy Neveska, self-proclaimed “Preacher”. His propensity toward the occult is sparked at a very young age by the cruelty of his father and the loss of his family. He turns toward a path as a servant of evil, delighting in his cleverly planned schemes to unleash terror, pain, and suffering. Nightmares occur during while darkness battles daybreak; the only hours that evil is permitted to work. Before long, Redcrow and Foley begin to mourn its every arrival.
