Description

A beach retreat, a neighborly dispute and murder!

Persephone Pringle is 50, newly (and happily!) divorced and on a private, month-long retreat to find herself again. But when both sets of neighbors at her rented cottage on the ocean can’t seem to keep their personal lives out of hers, she’s about to pack up and leave. Problem is, finding a body on the beach means the local sheriff would rather she stick around, since she’s the prime suspect.

Can she solve the murder without her nosy FBI agent ex-husband and worrywart daughter making matters worse? Find out in Mind Your Own Murder, book one of the Persephone Pringle Cozy Mysteries!

There were twists and turns with lots of mystery and interesting side lines. All to come to the end with a finale that I wasn’t expecting.

Persephone Pringle plans a holiday to celebrate her diverse and clear her mind as she finds her new purpose. Instead she finds quirky neighbors and murder. Worse than that, she becomes the prime suspect. That prompts her to the investigate. But will she survive her search for the killer? The premise of this book fits squarely in the cozy mystery genre. A cat even makes an appearance. The writing didn’t flow very well though, since it wove in and out of Persephone’s thoughts leaving the reader to interpret her meaning.

So happy I happened upon this author. Enjoyed the always sarcastic and sometimes self-deprecating internal dialogue of the protagonist but loved the detailed description of time slowing down! And a few great unexpected plot twists turn this book into a great read!
