    I enjoyed this book the best of all. Every book in the series has been wonderfully written, but this one about Gunnar and Suzannah was my favorite!!!

    Once again, these Cowboys of the Flint Hills are so perfect! The characters in this series all make appearances which I love. The story may focused on a couple, this time, Gunnar and Suzannah, but like real life the people that surround you also play important roles. It is also a great compliment to how family, friends and community members support and respect each other. I appreciate the positive messages that Prairie exemplifies. This story of second chances is sweet, tender and a lesson in the damage of miscommunication. Gunnar has only given his heart away once and Suzannah broke it and Suzannah, who has had her heart broken by Gunnar have an opportunity to become the family they have always desired with the precious Lulah in the middle. For two career oriented people with a energetic four year old there are definitely some ups, downs and compromises that need to be sorted to make it work. And, you'll want to cheer them on! It is a truly romantic story that makes your knees weak and your heart flutter.

Gunnar believes he is a confirmed bachelor and is not destined to find love like his brothers ever since he thought he found "the one" in Vegas years ago, they were going to get married but she never showed up. Now between running Hansen Stable and as board president of the new medical clinic he definitely doesn't have time for love. That is until the new doctor shows up and comes with a daughter!! Suzannah Winslow took a chance on a sweet talking, hunky cowboy who ended up leaving her high and dry along with being pregnant. After accepting the position in Prairie as the only doctor around for miles she runs into the one person she thought she would never see again...Gunnar and he doesn't know he has a daughter. Can these two find their way past what happened years ago and become a family they both have always wanted or will Suzannah hold strong that no man is worth risking her heart for??

    Prairie Fever (Cowboys of the Flint Hills) by Tessa Layne. This is Gunnar Hansen and Suzannah Winslow’s story. Gunnar and Suzannah are reacquainted after four years. Even though they are still hurt by the actions or lack of actions on both their parts the chemistry is stronger than ever between them. Gunnar and Suzannah have some tough things to work through. The author did a great job of making the characters and their emotions feel so real. I loved Gunnar and Suzannah’s characters and throughly enjoyed their story. This is a heartwarming and emotional with hot chemistry second chance read. FYI, contains mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

    Another awesome book in the Flint Hills series. The old saying is What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas but Gunner learns that’s not always true. Imagine his surprise when the newly hired doctor for the new clinic that he is on the Board of Directors for turns out to be a lost love Gunner had in Vegas while at a bull riding event. He discovers not only that his feelings for her haven’t changed but that he is a father. After a miscommunication in Vegas can he win back what he’s always wanted? A family?

    Wow! Emotional, raw, intense, and beautiful! The small town doc and the horseman put everything they have into making their relationship work. Loved it. The characters were amazing and the storyline was fresh. Can’t wait for more from this series!
