Abraham “Bram” Stoker (1847-1912) was an Irish author, best known today for his 1897 Gothic novel "Dracula". This immensely popular work enjoyed equal success in several versions as a play and as a film. Stoker also published three collection of short stories: Under the Sunset (1881), Snowbound (1908) and Dracula’s Guest and Other Weird Stories (1914). His supernatural tales are at times melancholy, mystical, gory, and gruesome, but always strange and haunting.
