As a reporter for Ranching Guild magazine, Andrea Colbert wanted the low down on J.D. Colbert's announcement to sell his place. After all it had been around for over forty-five years and since he was her estranged father, she couldn't quite believe it. So after seven years of absence, she went home to find out what was going on. She hadn't been home since she left her husband, Dwayne Dillon. It was simply too painful to go back.
To her shock her father had been suffering from Alzheimer's, and he didn't even know her when she showed up unannounced at the ranch. Boyd, Brent, and Billy weren't that glad to see her. They wanted to get rid of the ranch, put the old man in a home and take the money they thought they deserved, all but Billy. Billy actually cared about the old man.
Andy, as Dwayne had called her as a young bride, found it hard to deal with her brothers, her father's illness and being around her ex-husband all the time. Problem was she still loved him. But he'd built a wall around his heart ten feet tall, and there was no way she'd break his heart again!
