Many adaptations to these recipes exist, but I stick by these ones, as handed down by my grandmother. They have truly been tried and tested hundreds of times over the years! My Ouma Bettie loved baking and her house was NEVER without cookies or rusks. Well, she did have 9 children and LOTS of grandchildren! I have fond memories of baking with my Mum and Grandma as a child, even though I am not a great cook - these five (5) recipes are easy enough for anyone to try!
