Description

The fourth in the Faithful and the Fallen series from John Gwynne, an epic fantasy perfect for fans of George R. R. Martin, Brandon Sanderson and David Gemmell.

Events are coming to a climax in the Banished Lands, as the war reaches new heights. King Nathair has taken control of the fortress at Drassil and three of the Seven Treasures are in his possession. And together with Calidus and his ally Queen Rhin, Nathair will do anything to obtain the remaining Treasures. With all seven under his command, he can open a portal to the Otherworld. Then Asroth and his demon-horde will finally break into the Banished Lands and become flesh.

Meanwhile Corban has been taken prisoner by the Jotun, warrior giants who ride their enormous bears into battle. His warband scattered, Corban must make new allies if he hopes to survive. But can he bond with competing factions of warlike giants? Somehow he must, if he's to counter the threat Nathair represents.

His life hangs in the balance -- and with it, the fate of the Banished Lands.

Probably one of the most enjoyable series of books I’ve ever read. Amazing characters, solid story, shocking twists and turns and genuine shout out loud moments. Book 4 (Wrath) is exceptionally well written, embeds you completely in the characters emotions and leaves you feeling genuinely bereft that it’s all over.

From the Rowan Field, to the courtyard of Drassil, and beyond to the Otherworld, this has been an astonishing series that I'm proud to have read. The Faithful and the Fallen leads you down a path where good vs. evil is more than a two sided endeavor. John Gwynne has a way of bringing the real world into his fiction via the ambiguous nature of what is actually right and what is actually wrong, how the sides see each other, and how it all plays out in the end. Well done. A+ by every measure. Thanks for the read.

Waited a year for this book to come out and it was worth the wait! A more epic conclusion to a series I have never read. Loved reading every page of this book. Now Im sad that the story is over! 😩 Still, this is one of the greatest series I've ever read and I highly recommend it! John Gwynne rocks! -Donny C.
