Loved it! I haven’t read a book this unsettling since I read “It”. I had to stop reading it at night. I recommend reading this if you’re into scary unknowns.

If you see bad reviews, ignore them. This is a fabulous book. Scary, edge of your seat, great character development, flowed well, I’ve not read a book like this before.

This book is amazing. The body horror is on point, the story amazing, and the claustrophobia you feel even reading the book is so intense. 10/10, i eagerly await nick cutters next installment.

I won’t lie, I didn’t (couldn’t) finish this book. It was a great book, had all my favorite elements; disease, apocalyptic events, the unknown deep of the ocean (think Sphere) but it also had two elements I avoid at all costs. Dogs and animals dying or hurt and young boys being abducted and vanishing from the face of the earth. If you can get past those things by all means read it, it was very good for as far as I got but I couldn’t get any farther than the abused dog and and the missing small boy. Sorry Nick Cutter

Definitely hit up doesthedogdie.com there are a lot of triggering moments in this book. So much body horror. It’s excellent and absolutely drags you in kicking and screaming, hoping for the best but knowing nothing but terror awaits you.
  • Not a fan of this novel.

Bulky, choppy, did not flow well. Cutter’s “The Troop” was a much better read with a nice cadence. This was a chore to read. Almost gave up and went to something else. Possibly one of my least favorite novels in this genre. It almost seems that Nick was trying too hard with this one.
  • Terror 8 Miles Under the Sea

The ‘Gets is a pandemic devastating humanity with no cure in sight until a new substance is found under the sea. Communication is lost with the submarine lab and its leading researcher. The last recordings and writings seem like a descent into madness... what happened 8 miles below the surface? Nick Cutter has done it again and thoroughly wiped me as a reader. This was thrilling to read from beginning to end and just exploded in my face leaving me numb in an excruciatingly haunting way.

This book pulls you in 10 x more than the Event Horizon. Nick Cutter can really make his writing gross, intense and emotional at the same time. A vey good book in my opinion.

Just not for me. Messy story with such darkness.
