This is book one in the Reluctant Heroes series and it was awesome! Fast paced, action packed adventures of Ian Dunn, ex-Navy SEAL, turned Jewel thief, and his team. Ian's character just kept surprising me. He and Phoebe have amazing chemistry together. The secondary characters were fantastic also! So much was happening in this story and I don't like overly long reviews, so let me just say that this was an awesome first book in a spin-off series. Suzanne Brockmann does not disappoint! Sexy ex-Navy SEALs , beautiful lawyers, FBI, the mob, terrorists, and WOW, what more could you ask for? A fantastic love story, of course! Received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I've been a Suzanne a Brockmann fan for years and waited a long time for her recent book. I thought it was good, but could have been great. A little slow in places as she developed all of the characters and complicated plot. I'm assuming she did this to set up the next book, but it was clumsy in places with character development. Still enjoyed reading, but not the page turning - I have to finish the in one day - book that I've come to expect from her.

It's always good to dive back into Suzanne Brockmann's world, where plots are complex, heroes are human, and love prevails. Do or Die is perhaps a little too complex for my tastes, but I hung on and kept up with the twists and turns. I might have tapped 5 stars for this review, but I did find that a lot of the characters' voices sounded too similar. Everyone seemed to think the same way, regardless of their background. "And yes," "But okay," These phrases popped up in everyone's thoughts, and got a little tiresome. And while I applaud Ms. Brockmann's cause of teaching the world that being gay is a normal thing, I find I'm a little tired of that particular soapbox in her books. Did any of these irritants make me stop reading? No. No more than the quirk of Ana Steele's Inner Goddess stopped me from enjoying the 50 Shades books. Keep up the good work, Suzanne!
