Finn is a former Olympic gold medal sailing champion who is now retired and living in Charm, Texas where his family lives. After a terrible divorce he’s starting his life over and has no desire to marry or enter in a long term relationship. Two weeks tops. Michelle moved to Charm, Texas because of her a man she was dating. It didn’t work out. But after a coworker leaked an email where she said something about her boss she was let go. The coworker was a jealous man. Michelle ends up with a good job in a law firm in Charm. She is known as a great lawyer and a winner. She ends up telling a little white lie to her boss so he would know she’s serious about staying in Charm. In comes handsome Finn who agrees to be her fake boyfriend. As they fake date, their feelings start to enter into it. They also have chemistry that is hot. What can go wrong with their little white lie? Everything? Most of all they fall for each other. Will they walk away? What will happen if her boss finds out about her little white lie? Will he let her go? Will she be able to stay in Charm? Can Finn and Michelle make it work? He doesn’t trust easily, nor does he trust lawyers since his ex wife got everything. This couple made mistakes but it also shows how things can turn into something good. I was rooting for this couple. Worth the read. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily.

Another fun book in the Charm, Texas series by Heatherly Bell. Finn is a former gold medal Olympic sailing champion. He was taken to the cleaners in his divorce, she got everything including his gold medal. Michelle works at the same law firm that represented his ex. She’s new in town and used to date Finn’s business partner. Her boss is old fashion and thinks there should be a work/life balance. She panics and claims Finn as her boyfriend, bribing him to pretend for one night. Things snowball and get very complicated. Can a divorce lawyer and a man who was taken to the cleaners in his divorce have a HEA? *I received this as an ARC reader and am leaving my unbiased review.
