“What looks like magic is simply a part of life we don’t understand yet…”

When retired math teacher Grace Winters is left a run-down house on a Mediterranean island by a long-lost friend, curiosity gets the better of her. She arrives in Ibiza with a one-way ticket, no guidebook and no plan.

Among the rugged hills and golden beaches of the island, Grace searches for answers about her friend’s life, and how it ended. What she uncovers is stranger than she could have dreamed. But to dive into this impossible truth, Grace must first come to terms with her past.

Filled with wonder and wild adventure, this is a story of hope and the life-changing power of a new beginning.

He’s other books captivated me. This one just had me confused. At times he had incredible moments on the view of life and left some really powerful quotes which is what he is so good at. The story itself was just a little too weird.

I liked Midnight Library. But for lack of a better way to put it this story is just dumb.
  • Not for me

Too many thoughts, not enough action. A third of the way through and I’m totally bored, skipping over passages. It’s melancholy and taking too long to actually tell a story.
  • The best book I have read in a long time

I loved Grace, the 70ish year old heroine. I loved La presencia, and all the rest. This book will make you laugh and cry and give you hope. I can’t recommend it enough.

A most joyful, wondrous novel. I could hardly wait to get back to it every day. It speaks of finding your happiness in a most unusual beautiful way while understanding that we are all connected in this universe.
