If you read Matt and Liza's prequel, Naughty and Nice, you know that man is tightly wound. But until reading Tempted and Taken, we aren't aware of just how much he holds inside. And boy, it's a lot! So it's even easier to fall for this damaged, no feelings allowed, playboy. But if anyone can get through to him, it's Liza Moretti. Having read (and loved!) all the previous Italian Stallion books, I though I was ready for Liza. But this strong, funny, passionate lady has layers which she does not share with even her closest friends and relatives...and those two catagories overlap. She's a much more complex character, obviously, in her own story, and the connect with Matt is infinitely more twisty than the infamous Russo/Moretti family feud. I loved the little moments of fun between the two of them, not to mention Liza's connection with her cousins and brothers. And as much as every other couple, or throuple, became instant favorites, Matt and Liza strike a cord within me that catapolts them above eveyone else. So now it's up to the talented Mari Carr to make the next couple push Matt and Liza off the top of that podium of greatness. I'm pretty sure she can do that with her eyes closed!

What a heartbreaking journey for both Matt and Liza! Can a heartbroken man find the strength to open his heart to the truth and let Liza in or will he hurt her beyond repair? I totally loved Tempted and Taken--it was supremely satisfying to witness Liza and Matt figure out what they truly wanted and go after what they deserved. Because ultimately, this Moretti and this Russo together? Magic.
