A Wonderful Seduction

I love romances where the bad of the past is put to rest to make room for the best of the present and future. This is what Bliss and Granger needed to do. They handle their pasts especially their relationships with their mothers differently. Granger is a logical FBI man. He is no nonsense. He prides himself on reading people every much like Bliss. She, however, uses a "Blondie" act to cover up her insecurities. She doesn't let anyone get close, not even her half siblings. They slowly learn how to manage it to move forward.
Their journey is mixed up in an accidental eavesdropping incident, an attack in an elevator and pulling Alvin out from behind an industrial refrigerator. It is an intriguing ride that keeps you interested in how it will all play out in the end. Will they figure out the mysteries? It's a lot of fun watching Granger and Bliss, who seem like opposites maneuver through the obstacles while their spark ignites and passion builds.
This is a very emotional story. It tugs on your heart. You want Granger and Bliss to find peace and happiness but, there are the bumps and the not knowing how to identify feelings that have them struggling at times. But, they find the time even if it's an unusual time to reveal their emotions. This is another must read from Jennifer Bernard.

This was the story of Granger and Bliss finding their HEA! Granger is a gruff FBI agent moonlighting as a bodyguard for a very innocent Bliss. But don't let her model good looks fool you. Bliss is astute, observant, and very empathetic. She's sweet and caring. She's also got a penchant for stumbling into troublesome situations. A series of dangerous situations lands the two together, in very close proximity. They have great chemistry together and, amid a suspense plot that keeps them on their toes, they end up falling for each other. A sweet and fun love story!

I just love all my visits to Lake Bittersweet and Bliss’s story did not disappoint. We never really got much sense of who Bliss was before now. Bliss was a model that was always traveling and hid herself behind her smile. Granger is an FBI agent visiting Lake Bittersweet to help out a friend and find out about who his father is. Bliss “hires” Granger to be her head of security, just to help him out but she may in fact need a real head of security after her last modeling job leaves her fleeing back to her hometown. Granger is a strong, silent, serious guy and from the moment he meets Bliss he seems to be able to read her. And she seems to be able to read him too. The build up for these two was fabulous and you could just feel the attraction between them.
I loved that Bliss was also able to connect with her half siblings, Carly and Conor. She still hid behind her smile with them but it wasn’t as east for Bliss to continue to pull off.
I am loving this series and each book is as great as the last. I would be hard pressed to choose a favorite.
Amazing!

The Seduction is the fourth in Jennifer Bernard’s lovely Lake Bittersweet series, and is about Bliss Gault, the youngest of the Gault siblings, and Earl Granger, an FBI agent turned temporary bodyguard in the little Minnesota town of Lake Bittersweet.
Jennifer Bernard’s writing is captivating as always, and Granger and Bliss’s story reveals two people very accustomed to keeping their true selves very much to themselves, who as they spend time together, come to recognize the joy of being known and loved. She writes poignantly about looking for love and family, and the peace and satisfaction of finding what we seek.
The Seduction is a terrific read, and I’m very eager for the next in this stellar series.
