This was my first book by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a very interesting perspective on a retelling in a different world. I think there are some elements I would have/ will understand more once I read the first book in the series but I still think things were explained even without reading the first. The characters were fabulous and I was entertained throughout the entire story! Looking forward to reading more in this series and by this author.
