Presumed Innocent, which tells the complicated story of a renowned prosecutor who is charged with the murder of his colleague with whom he had an affair, is absolutely fascinating. Decorated with some of the most beautiful words in the English language, and vividly descriptive scenes of passion, sensuality, and law, it was evidently written by the pen of a masterful and extraordinarily talented author. All 602 pages of this story are captivating and will arrest all of your attention.
Each character is unique and intriguing, as every one of them has prominent flaws and strengths, and they are all portrayed so well and intricately. The emotions of the characters are spilt impressively throughout the pages.
The sensual scenes are incredibly vivid, romantic and poetic, and would have made Shakespeare blush. The physical chemistry that was evident between Carolyn and Rusty was written with flawless eloquence.
The courtroom scenes are powerful and emotional, as Mr. Turow's knowledge of and familiarity with the law inspires a beautiful impact in the dramatic yet realistic portrayal of the American criminal justice system.
Overall, Presumed Innocent is filled with invigorating scenes of sexuality, emotional courtroom arguments, thrilling mystery and intrigue, and gorgeously alluring characters. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering its purchase. You will not regret it.
