Description

Falling for my frenemy? Out of the question.

Easton: For as long as I can remember, I’ve been giving Hanna a hard time—and she’s been giving it right back.

So we’re both shocked to find ourselves on the same side of a project: helping Hanna win the heart of the celebrity chef hired by my family’s business to give summer workshops.

It shouldn’t be a big deal. A wardrobe evaluation. A shopping trip. Maybe some how-to-get-the-guy advice. I’m an expert on matters of the heart—or, at least matters of the mattress.

But as Hanna starts to trust me and open up, I see her differently. She’s not so much blunt as refreshingly honest, not so much a plain Jane in baggy clothes as… deliciously curvy. And hidden under that spiky, steely exterior is a soft heart she doesn’t show anyone.

Suddenly, the project includes ogling Hanna in dressing room mirrors. Offering her kissing lessons. And desperately trying not to give in to the sizzling heat between us.

I have to let her know the plan has changed: I’ll still help her get the guy she wants. I just need to somehow convince her that it’s me.

A steamy, opposites-attract, enemies-to-lovers (or is it friends-to-lovers? So hard to tell with these two!), mountain man small-town rom com.

A laugh out loud with a side of tears for Wilder at Last. Hanna and Easton have been frenemies since they were children. The banter, sarcasm, and arguments have been a part of their relationship. But, Hanna has been hiding feelings (not friendship) for a while, and thinks it will never be more. Easton, the youngest Wilder has been know for his “flavor of the week” dating, and never wanted anything else. Until he sees Hanna flirting with Bear, an outdoor influencer, who has come to do some workshops. Hanna asks Easton for help to teach her how to kiss and be sexy. It only takes a few kisses for Easton to realize HE wants Hanna for himself. It’s was fun to catch up with all the Wilders, and get hints of Ms. Bell’s new series Hott Shott. Centered around Hanna’s brothers. I received this ARC from Ms. Bell for an honest review.
  • Can’t put this down!

It is this way every single time I open one of Serena Bell’s books—I cannot stop reading, and everything is so annoying how they are interrupting this incredibly wonderful thing I’ve got going on with her writing… I can never pick any of them up (especially if I’m reading for the first time) if I have something else that requires attention. Why am I telling you this? Because WILDER AT LAST, the fifth and final book in Serena Bell’s Wilder Brothers’ series, should be on your TBR, and before you open it, make sure to clear your decks. Easton Wilder is the fun-time baby brother, and he’s embraced that role, making sure the family business runs smoothly by teasing and cajoling and flirting his way through. Hanna Hott is a longtime friend and they have an almost antagonistic frenemies thing going on, complete with teasing and arguments for the ages. When the charismatic celebrity chef Bear Warden joins their team for a short time, Easton promises to help Hanna turn his head. We know how well those situations tend to turn out, LOL! I’ll just be off here floating in super happy “I can’t believe I’m reading something so GOOD” land…

I so ship Hanna and Easton. I have loved them both throughout the series and their book completely did them justice. I loved seeing a different side to both characters from what was previously shown. The vulnerability Hanna has and the honesty Easton learns to show, I just loved it. This was a great ending for the Wilder family.

Thanks @serenabellbooks for the eARC copy—my candid review is voluntary and all opinions are my own. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (0-5) 4 1/2 rounding to 5 Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 (0-5) What I’m Starry-Eyed Over: 🤩 The title—we know we’re getting that HEA. 🤩 Frenemies-to-lovers amazing banter. 🤩 LGBTQ+ representation. 🤩 Curvy body representation. 🤩 Loveable, fun and funny MCs—I fell hard and fast for Easton and Hanna. 🤩 The clothes shopping adventures. 🤩 Attraction that sneaks up on both MCs and lusty daydreaming! 🤩 The cuteness of trying to deny the attraction. 🤩 Bridgerton fandom. 🤩 Workplace romance and a clever little love triangle done so well. 🤩 Kissing lessons—holy hotness! 🤩 Such beautiful descriptions of the sights, smells, and surroundings. 🤩 The worry stones/skipping rocks show just how much love Hanna and Easton have for each other. 🤩 All the feels (real tears and laugh out loud moments) plus smokin’ hot steam (shower, tent, yes please!). What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About: 💫 I have to stay true to my greedy self—I need to experience the physical connection after the drama/time apart to believe in the HEA. It was talked about in very cute ways in the ending and the epilogue. I just want to experience it.
