The Ashmolean Interactive Collection is a multi-touch electronic book combining interactive 3D & VR models, high-resolution pan & zoom images with videos, maps and textual narrative to tell entertaining and informative stories about a selection of objects from the museum’s collection.
Spin the 3D & VR models around; watch video clips of talks given by the curators Catherine Whistler, Christopher Howgego, Nicholas Mayhew and Jon Whiteley; zoom into the details of beautiful works of art by Raphael, Uccello and Di Cosimo, and use the maps as an introductory guide and navigational tool when visiting the museum.
