The author had an intriguing concept that was consequently tarnished by a random political rant about Republicans being worse than Marxist communists. This took up precious space in a short story. The story was also hindered by fragmented compound sentences that lost the reader by the next appearance of punctuation. The last page had potential but the whole story needs a rewrite.
