Strong start, weak finish.

Olivia is a narcissist and insufferable. Every character is going through similar hardship yet she is always more important. The book starts realistic and ends up with such an unrealistic twist/conclusion it pulls you out of the story immediately. I loved getting the POV of each character it really helped develop each one. Overall it was decent.
Excellent

Kept me reading til the very end, because I absolutely needed to find out the end. But I grew disappointed with the main characters and felt none of them were very likable. This author has done better in the past.
Interesting perspective

Each character tells the story from their own point of view which was a bit of adjustment, but so worth it. Good story with a surprising twist at the end. The theme of infertility is both thought provoking and personal.
Interesting premise but…

The way it’s written is like a hallmark channel movie in book form. I thought the storyline seemed interesting, but I just couldn’t get into it. Had to force myself to finish since I paid for it. It helped to be on a 9 hour flight with nothing else to read.
Could not finish

Basically strongly disliked this book, waste of time did not finish. Hated the cutesy writing, and the abbreviated nicknames of the characters
Having just finished 2 Ruth Ware novels perhaps being unkind as the comparison is stunning

The beginning was captivating, but then going back to high school prom seemed ridiculous. I skipped a lot to get to the end.
It was a great story, and I remembered news stories of shady sperm banks and even arrogant doctors using their own sperm without patient’s knowledge or consent. Just so sad. The characters were all just a little off, especially Olivia. She and Peyton had more in common, and their thoughts were creepy. Poor West! Murder gene, evil, or mental illness? Maybe all of the above. Synthetic characters.
