    This book is part of the States of Love series. You can read it as a standalone is the connection to other books is minor. Austin and Penny's story is a short, steamy reverse age gap romance. Penny is having a very bad day when Austin finds her standing in the road in a wedding dress. She's being setup for the disappearance of her sister and on the run.   • Proving her innocence

    Suspenseful till the very end in this short novella for Penny when trying to prove her innocence with the help from Austin. Loved their past connection and the age difference, especially how it’s dealt with in a jokingly manner. I like how all these short stories are lightly integrated at some small point with one person to the next. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    These stories set in a different state are such fun books to read. In this book, Connecticut is the state and Austin, a cop, and Penny, a high school chemistry teacher, are the main characters. Austin had a crush on Penny when she was his teacher. As he’s headed to get dinner, he sees Penny in a wedding dress blocking traffic. He can’t believe how good she still looks, lol.
