I have to tell you that after I finished “Shattered” I was disappointed with how Cole and Savi’s story was unfolding wasn’t even sure I wanted to read “Mended “, so glad I did! I do admit to skipping the whole book and reading the last chapter first something I am adamantly opposed to. My heart just needed to know that they end up together. From the first chapter of “Broken” I was hooked! Great story lines, factual and realistic military action scenes. I really hope that Cole, Savi and Olivia make appearances in the Blackstone series. The most annoying part of EVERY book in this series? The male POV chapter (Cole and then Mark in book 3) is written in 3rd person. Why?!?! I just don’t get it. Are the men just that egotistical that they can’t help but to refer to themselves in 3rd person? Why make it a POV chapter if it’s not their direct POV? It drove me bat poo crazy reading Cole’s chapters. The series was otherwise well written and a decent read, but if writing a POV chapter in 3rd person is standard for this author, it will be my first and last time reading her/his work. My OCD can’t handle anymore 3rd person POV chapters!

What a perfect ending to the series. ****** Overall Rating: 5 stars Standalone: NO NO NO Steam: 3 flames ****** Finally, we get to the end of Savannah and Cole's tale. What a ride it has been. Holy cow I didn't see a lot twists and turns coming but that is what kept me engaged. I truly became emotionally attached to all the characters by the end of this series (not just Trigger anymore). And I honestly can't wait to read all the characters stories, Mark, Keith, Mike... Savannah and Cole's journey has been rough, filled with betrayal, loss and heartache. But, in the end they do get their HEA. I got the answers I needed, and I was satisifed with how everything turned out. I am one happy reader! So I just have one last thing to say, do not wait to start reading this series, just pick it up and fall in love with these characters like the rest of us.

J.L. may be known for her killer cliff hangers but when it comes to mended wraps everything up amazingly and Cole and Savi gets what they deserve. I loved reading these books and seeing how J.L.’s world came together and how two people can fall in love with even the hardest situations being thrown at them. I would highly recommend diving into this book it’s amazing.
