A good thriller

Very well written, good characterizations and not obvious in “who did it”. A story of long held grief, love and ultimately, a need for cleansing.
Not my type of book.

I seem to prefer more intrigue.

Original plot. Loved the characters, especially Laura and Irene.
Pretty good

I loved this book could not put it down. Her skills in world building are unmatched, and as always the twists and turns were continuous.
She’s read a few mysteries

Among other good things, I suspect this book is a bit of an homage to Ruth Randell, especially in her work as Barbara Vine.
Sad, sad story but kept me interested. A bit disjointed though. I literally felt the pain and grief.

I’ve read several of her books, this one was a bit too much back and forth, this way, that away for me. Too hard to follow, almost like she was trying to accomplish what “Theo” had done in his book, flipping from different time frames. Not my favorite.
