Head over Heels for the Holidays is book 7 in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series by Jennifer Bernard and we have been waiting for Maya’s story!
Maya Badger, town police chief was dumped years ago on Christmas Eve so the holidays are tough. She’s trying to focus on her work and her father’s recovery until a home healthcare nurse shows up to help. What she doesn’t expect is her childhood buddy ... Jay Jay or now known as Rune Larsen to be the nurse.
Suspense, a stalker, laughter, investigation, holiday parties and so much more...so looking forward to more from Ms. Bernard!!

Very satisfying conclusion to the S.G. storyline, a new mystery thrown in, and a long lost friends-to-lovers make for a story I had to keep reading until I finished.

What a great way to end this wonderful, suspenseful series! Police chief Maya has been a favorite character of mine from book one, so although i needed to wait until book 7 to get her story, it was definitely worth it! She reunited with an old friend and sparks fly immediately between her and Jay-Jay...now calling himself Rune. He and his little sister are in Lost Harbor for a few mo this and he rekindles more than his childhood friendship with Maya.
Lots of loose ends and a series-arcing mystery are tied up neatly, with lots of cameos of the loveable characters from previous books. I couldn’t put it down! Sad to be leaving Lost Harbor, Alaska but the memories will stay with me for a very long time.

What a fantastic holiday read with more than one happy ending. Rune comes to Lost Harbor, Alaska hoping to keep his sister, Cara (Torrey) safe from her stalker. Imagine Maya’s surprise when he turns out to be her long lost friend from Hawaii, Jay-Jay. Rune is a nurse and Maya is the Police Chief. He’s going to be looking after Harris, Maya’s father and other residents. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I highly recommend this enjoyable, steamy read.
