Where to start....I guess first, you’ll want to read this. And probably end up doing I what I did- sneaking moments in to read at work or standing in line (spaced out of course) to check out, or even during a meeting. So many layers for Viv and Nate, and each layer is the exposed little by little as the story develops. My poor dog gave up on getting the popcorn I had while reading because I stopped tossing it to him as I got more and more into the story. So many parts I screenshot and sent to another book lover, making her want to read it when released. In a world that is struggling to find good things right now, do yourself a favor and read this book- and then you’ll want the author’s other books too.

It’s rare for me to read a book and immediately be taken with both the hero and the heroine. In Once Upon A Billionaire I found that as soon as Vivian and Nate were introduced, I was quickly enamored by both. They are such likable characters, each struggling to overcome something from their past. This book isn’t a simple fall head over heels, at first site type of story, which was nice. Each character is guarded in their own way, both clinging to something from their past, not wanting to give up control. The walls built up by Vivian are much higher and tougher than Nate anticipates but he is not a man who gives up easily. I loved that Vivian is an incredibly strong, independent, fighter, even if that may not be how she always feels on the inside. She’s had her life turned completely upside down due to her secret and it’s kept her from getting close to anyone and everyone. Enter Nathaniel Owen, a smart, thoughtful, hardworking, hands-on type of man who, despite his dark past, has persevered. He’s decided he won’t stop until he finds out just what Vivian Vandemark is hiding. The way he is with Vivian is honestly swoon worthy and I loved all of it. It was wonderful to see these two characters find each other while working through long guarded secrets and pain. This was a fantastic book by Jessica Lemmon, I loved everything about it! The pace was flawless, the characters were well developed and felt relatable. The surrounding characters were fantastic and perfect in helping to expand our main characters story developments past, present and future. This is definitely worth the read. I can’t wait to see what Jessica has in store for us next in this series! I’m so ready! I received an ARC of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
