Although one part of it threw me off, everything else was very predictable. Wish there was more character development.

Sweet, sweet, sweet A fun afternoon read.

This novel has cute characters talking and doing silly things. Very much like a formula Hallmark movie plot. I skim read it, but won’t read another. If someone asks me what it was about, by next week I won’t remember.

The Wedding Bet is a fun read about best friends and the hilarious way they compete by betting with each other. Kennedy and Steve are likable and throughly entertaining with great chemistry yet they have never dated and Kennedy is a serial dated and needs a date for her best friends wedding but she bet Steve she wouldn’t date until a certain date. Two very competitive people, who secretly are crushing on each other, finally get their collective acts together and admit their true feelings. This leads to their HEA. There is some sweet meddling and the most adorable puppies involved in their unusual courtship. I would definitely recommend this book. I love this book about Kennedy and Steve. Kennedy ensure that Steve has put her into a friend box when he says her up with his friend after he heard her say that Cal was hot. This is a clean romance about two friends who want more but are afraid of rejection. They have a habit of making bets one another. Steve bet Kennedy that she can’t go without dating she takes him up on it with the caveat that he won’t date either. While at an auction they both want the same poem for different reasons but someone else wins. They try to one up each other to buy it. Steve wants it for his grandma and Kennedy wants it for her best friends wedding gift. Lori has them doing stuff together because they remind her of her and her husband. Kennedy and Steve must decide if they were brave enough to communicate their wants or are they going to remain just friends. I love how protective Steve was of Kennedy and how he went out of his way to make sure she was happy even if that means he cannot have her.
