Description

A tender addition to the #1 bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas, bridging the events of A Court of Wings and Ruin and A Court of Silver Flames.

Feyre, Rhysand, and their friends are still busy rebuilding the Night Court and the vastly altered world beyond, recovering from the war that changed everything. But Winter Solstice is finally approaching, and with it, the joy of a hard-earned reprieve.

Yet even the festive atmosphere can't keep the shadows of the past from looming. As Feyre navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady, her concern for those dearest to her deepens. They have more wounds than she anticipated-scars that will have a far-reaching impact on the future of their court.

Bridging the events of A Court of Wings and Ruin with the later books in the series, A Court of Frost and Starlight explores the far-reaching effects of a devastating war and the fierce love between friends.

Reviews

  • Fluff Book

Loved the series so far, but this book was not worth the price in my opinion. Im always happy to read more character development with series I’m involved in, but I didn’t feel like this book offered much. I was definitely hoping for more from this book.

Just a fluff book and very short.
  • Bad book

Just a terrible book. Nothing happened. Kinda want my money back on this one. The first 3 were great. This one, was not. Wish I skipped it.

Really love the characters and stories. Romantic and heartbreaking and a little naughty too
  • Refreshing and Simple

As many have said, it’s shorter. One day I realized it was the last chapter and was a little sad. I enjoyed the opportunity to get a closer look into some of the relationships of the characters and to see how they’re doing post-battle. And a nice break from some of the dark moments from the books prior.

I didn’t hate it. But certainly didn’t love it. Skimmed a lot of it. An intermission novella before what I assume to be very dramatic ending.
  • enjoyed it thoroughly

I fully believe in good slow-burns and well done fillers and this might be one of them.
  • Unlike the others

I was saddened by the lack of plot and story progression. Thus read much more like a short story than a true novel in the series.
  • Beautiful Slow Burn

I enjoyed this book very much. It’s beautiful, magical, and romantic. Compared to all the others it feels like a small novela that feels like a calm slow burn in a lot of ways. Excited to read Silver Flames & ready for the story line to pick up more now after this snap shot of peace. 🫶🏼
