Great book it’s an easy quick read with great writing There were some great unexpected twists and I could not put it down.

Leo is suffering from depression. He’s been in a funk for months. Joanna is hoping she can help him out of it, to save her family. She’s been supportive and encouraging. Joanna knows Leo won’t seek help, but finds a way to use a current situation to get him to go to a mediation day at a local mental health recovery center. Leo meets Piper, the owner of the center. They skip out on the lunch provided at the meditation day. Piper has her eyes and heart set on snagging Leo’s affections. When Joanna’s mother falls and needs her to move back in with her as her caretaker, Leo decides this is the time to move on. He files paperwork and sends all of Joanna’s belongings to her mother’s home. Joanna is heartbroken and determined to win Leo back. It isn’t until the very end when I realized what I was reading wasn’t the full truth. I did not see what was so clearly obvious until it smacked me in the face! Normally I have it somewhat figured out before the reveal, but not this time! Great storyline and great way of hiding the plot twist!

This book had me screaming and shocked and sucked in from start to finish. Absolutely loved this book.

A true snooze.

Just a good book with som plot twists to keep you guessing. Good writer. I will read more from her.

I love reading books like this. I wanted to keep reading to the end.

I loved the book The Last Mrs. Parrish which is why I decided to read this one. But the characters and their motivations and actions made no sense the entire book. It was really frustrating and there were several times I wanted to just put the book down and give up on it. It just wasn’t enjoyable to read. But then at the very end there’s a plot twist and it suddenly all makes sense. But because it’s at the very end, I was like, “I seriously just suffered through all that for a plot twist at the end?” Although I’m a sucker for plot twists and surprises, this one was annoying. I think the author could have done a better job with the characters to make everything before the ending a more entertaining read.

Contrived, a real disappointment. Read the Publisher’ s Weekly review, which I saw only after I bought this.

I really don’t like leaving bad reviews but I’m going to have to for this book. Very slow with a predictable ending and anticlimactic.

So many of the things that didn’t make sense throughout the novel start to make more sense by the ending. Not my favorite by the author but I had more appreciation for the work once I finished it. Didn’t see the ending coming.
