Enemies to Lovers Romance
By Marie Bourgery
Brooke and Tyler were young and a bit immature. They showed their competitive nature during trivia night at the local brewery, which was pretty funny but they also descended to petty mean levels. I was surprised she wanted to help him out sprucing up his rental property so he could get renters. She was good at it, but it was his business. Their bickering turns to passion, but they hurt each other several times. I haven’t read any of the other books in this series, but I got the impression that Brooke wasn’t always a nice person. She put up walls and acted in off putting ways to keep people out and so she wouldn’t get hurt. When she finally gets the chance to realize one of her dreams after she helped Tyler, he makes her feel like it’s insignificant and she should cast it aside for the sake of their relationship. This was a steamy enemies to lovers romance with plenty of funny and rocky moments.
