Exciting read. Good story, holds your interest.

As my first Grisham novel, l was expecting plot twists and cliffhangers. Nope, not one. You can see the whole story from the beginning and it delivers each expected development on a simple plodding drumbeat.

Good story line, relatable characters, surprise ending. What’s not to like?

Weakest ending imaginable! I have read many Grisham books before but they were completely riveting, this was more beach trash than a law drama. I liked the characters and the plot but the ending just was awful. Four stars for what could be and a nod to a great author!
