Anne Rice takes her series to another level...and not so much in a good way. This is the origin story of the originator of all blood drinkers.
And that could be OK except there are plot holes...neigh...plot crevices in this tale.
It feels like this book was a bridge book-because why else would she have given us a back story that leaves more questions than answers.
If she isn't getting ready to take the story to a new place that fills in the major story gaps then I am just not sure why she wrote this book.
If you are a faithful LeStat fan you will buy this book.
If you aren't don't start with this one.
